In nearly every system we install a reed switch to the entry door to provide an entry delay path to the code pad for legitimate users. This delay time however is not given to any detectors unless the entry door is opened first, thus creating an instant alarm in the case of a break-in.

Reed switches fitted to doors and windows, when used in conjunction with glass break sensors, will detect an attempted unauthorised entry, activate the sirens and strobe unit and report the alarm to the remote central monitoring station even before the intruders have gained entry to the premises.
